Tastes and smells: Breakfast with Santa

On Saturday, December 8 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm join Santa and the folks from Lakeville Brewing Company for breakfast! LBC is opening an hour early so you can come and enjoy breakfast and let your kids tell Santa what they want for Christmas. We will let Santa decide who's been naught or nice! Learn more here.
Sights and Shopping: Secret Holiday Shop
Let your kids empty out their piggy banks and feel the pride of picking out and buying a gift for their loved ones.
Hosted by Savage Parks & Rec the Annual Secret Holiday Shop is an opportunity for kids of all ages to do holiday shopping for their family and friends without their parents. Volunteers will assist children in selecting from a variety of gifts for purchase, ranging in price from $0.50 to $11. Gifts will be wrapped and labeled at the end of the shopping experience. Santa will be making a stop for a photo opportunity. Photos will be available for purchase on-site directly from the photographer. Parents can purchase tickets and create a shopping list with their child upon arrival. Feeling and Creating: Kids Mini Sign Workshop
Bring your kids in to Board & Batten located at 20770 Holyoke Avenue, Lakeville for a special mini sign workshop! Wear your painting clothes and choose from 6 holiday designs to create a sign of their own or to give as a gift. Donuts, hot chocolate and coffee (for the older elves) will be provided. Sights and Sounds: Christmas in the Villiage
Dakota City Heritage Village will reflect the holiday traditions of early 1900 Dakota County residents. Horse and tractor drawn trolleys will transport visitors throughout the village. Each building provides a special experience for each visitor. Children can visit St. Nicholas, write a letter to Santa, and make a Christmas ornament. All guests can enjoy holiday music, visit a one room school decorated by children, add a link to the community paper chain, enjoy a roasted chestnut, watch cooking on a wood cook stove, and observe the carpenter, the blacksmith, the barber, the seamstress, as they all prepare for Christmas. The general store and the confection and gift shop will be staffed by shopkeepers for some old time shopping. The Children’s Castle Theater will perform “A Christmas Carol” with performances at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM each day. Held at the Dakota City Heritage Village at 4008 220th St. W., Farmington.
