    Faith, Family, Friends, Community and Business. Those are the five highest priorities – in that order – for Dave Oswald. He is passionate about the people in his life. That explains a lot about his personal and business success. A successful corporate career as the president & chief executive officer of a Minnesota based, international franchise organization ended with the sale of that company. Afterward, Dave was able to enjoy the pursuit of other personal and business interests. Real estate intrigued him. Combining that with his enthusiasm for helping people achieve their goals and dreams made for the start of what has become a second successful career. As a member of the Coldwell Banker Burnet’s esteemed President’s Circle, Dave is ranked in the top 2% of Dakota County’s real estate professionals.

    His personal, community and business networks are expansive, as is his knowledge of the southern Twin Cities real estate market. His clients plainly see Dave loves what he does! He serves the single-family residential market as well as the needs of real estate investors. Clients enjoy his upbeat perspective on life and benefit from his tenacious “don’t-give-up” attitude, his leadership skills and negotiating ability. They respect his unwavering personal integrity. Clients and friends (well…most of them) also appreciate his slightly wacky sense of humor. Dave is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Joan. Their daughters are now married adults and the Oswald clan is a growing, extended family. He is active in his local church in a variety of ministries, serves on the board of directors of a non-profit foundation, is a Trustee of the local hospital, serves as a management advisor to a local Christian radio station, and is a leader within his local Rotary Club. Dave enjoys his weekly breakfasts with his granddaughter, traveling with Joan, woodworking projects, fly-fishing with his buddies in Montana, cooking for family gatherings, classic car auctions and driving his vintage pickup truck.

    In 2005, when Dave found himself needing a new assistant, his first choice was his high school sweetheart and wife of 30 years, Joan. He later admitted recruiting her to the job was like asking her to marry him all over again....what if she said 'NO'??

    With the promise of shorter days and more time to spend in her garden & with her grandchildren, she gave a resounding "YES". After 12+ years at United Healthgroup as an Executive Administrative Assistant, she traded two hours of daily commuting to being just 12 minutes from the office.

    As a licensed Realtor, Joan handles the behind-the-scenes tasks such as getting properties listed, posting them to the various marketing sites, maintaining the DaveOswaldHomes website and working closely with clients & team members. Occasionally, she shows homes to Buyers when Dave's calendar is full. Joan brings her outgoing personality and positive attitude to work every day and thoroughly enjoys the "family business."

    Working closer to home has also afforded Joan the opportunity to pursue the dream of becoming a Dakota County Master Gardener. Since completing the course in 2005, Joan has spent many hours volunteering and serving on the Advisory Board. In her ‘spare time’ you’ll find her with her grandchildren, "crafting", singing on the Worship Team at Hosanna! Church and tending to her many gardens around the house.

    The pursuit of happiness and attaining one’s goals is the cornerstone of Mitchell’s philosophy on life.  In both his personal and professional life, Mitchell brings a tremendous amount of spirit and energy. 

     

    Prior to Real Estate, Mitchell had not one but two very successful careers in highly competitive customer driven industries. Mitchell was a “turnaround expert” for the catering divisions of a major hotel & hospitality chain and traveled between troubled locations throughout the United States. His exceptional eye for detail and continuity well serves Mitchell, his real estate clients and the community today.  The Minnesota Food Shelf benefits from Mitchell’s heartfelt commitment to volunteerism. He also served his country as an Army nurse in Europe during the late 80’s and early 90’s.

     

    His proven track record as a leader in these fields, along with his record for achieving goals, unsurpassed attention to detail and customer service made it a natural transition for him to become a Real Estate Professional.  As with most things Mitchell does, he dove into Real Estate with enthusiasm and gusto.  He has an excellent knowledge of our local real estate market and its home styles, right down to specific architectural nuances.  From turn of the century homes to new construction, Mitchell has extensive experience in helping clients in all areas of home building, buying and selling.

    Lizz Stendera joined the Dave Oswald Homes Team at the beginning of 2009 as an Open House Specialist. Her welcoming smile and good nature make open house guests feel right at home.

    Lizz was born Elisabeth, but due to a ‘6th grade identity crisis’ wanted something more unique and memorable, thus becoming ‘Lizz with two z’s’. That desire to stand out has been a constant in her life. Whether in business or with friends and family, Lizz seeks out ways to impact those around her for the best.

    Lizz happily refers to herself as a ‘Jane of all trades’.  Regardless of where Lizz is, her focus has always been to work with people, which is reflected in her job choices.  Real Estate, bookstores, restaurants and the public relations field all have one thing in common – the need to communicate, and to do it well.  Lizz enjoys getting to know people on a personal level to find out what motivates them and what makes them tick. In the field of Real Estate, she loves using her skills to make great pairings between people and houses that will make them feel like they’ve found home.

    Peggy joined the Dave Oswald Homes Team as an Open House Specialist early in 2009. Now, as a Licensed Realtor, Peggy serves buyers and sellers alike. Her career as an award winning publicist and public relations professional took her to Russia, China, France, Italy, England, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Mexico, Columbia and Venezuela. Where will Real Estate take her?

    Peggy is comfortable working with a variety people and personalities. In fact, she has met the Dali Lama, President Jimmy Carter, Vice Presidents Walter Mondale and Al Gore, Russian dissident and Nobel Laureate Andre Sakarov and France’s President Jacque Charac.

    Listening, communicating and going above and beyond in achieving her goals have been Peggy’s greatest strengths.  She thrives on interacting with people and making connections that work. Real Estate is a natural fit with her many talents.

    Peggy has always been deeply committed to the community and has volunteered and worked with numerous Twin Cities organizations and causes, including The Breast Cancer Awareness Association where she is a member of the Board of Directors, AccessAbility, The Minnesota Zoo, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts and The Charles Lindbergh Fund.

    Peggy also loves gardening, traveling, decorating and spending time with family and friends.

    Smiles--that’s what Marie Krebs enjoys most -- especially when they are on the faces of her real estate clients. A committed professional, she has been a licensed real estate agent in Minnesota and Florida since 2005. But, it is the “human side” of a successful closing with Marie that typically yields those smiles which, in turn, fuel her passion for helping people through the process of a real estate purchase or sale.

     

    Raised on a farm in Wisconsin, Marie graduated from LaCrosse State University and taught elementary physical education for 17 years. She and husband Garry have two adult sons and three grandchildren.  They have lived south of the Minnesota River for 38 years including a combined 25 years living on Crystal Lake and Lake Marion. Marie has first hand knowledge of each of those special lake communities.

     

    Marie spends much of her free time volunteering at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society and fosters pets in transition. The hardest part for her is saying goodbye as the pets move into permanent homes. Marie and Garry enjoy water sports, restoring 60’s era classic cars and going to car shows. They also look forward to their trips to Florida in the winter, where she puts her Florida real estate license to good use in the Gulf Region from Tampa Bay to Fort Myers.

    Sue graduated from high school in Roseville and went on to the University of Minnesota and William Mitchell College of Law to become a lawyer.

    As an attorney, Sue represented clients for many years as a Prosecutor in the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office. Later, Sue went into private practice where she represented clients in well over 200 cases throughout Minnesota.

    Active in her community for many years, Sue served on the Board of St. Paul Youth Services and donated her time to several area women’s shelters. She has been active in the Minnesota Association for Justice and was a member of the St. Paul Human Rights Commission.

    Much like Dave Oswald, Sue chose to change careers mid-life. She committed herself to a vocation of Real Estate, where she could successfully leverage what she learned in the ‘first half’. Today, her real estate clients enjoy an unparalleled level of advocacy from Sue. A savvy negotiator with exceptional people skills, Sue brings a lot of energy, talent and experience to the Dave Oswald Homes Team. Clients will benefit from her thorough knowledge and love of the Twin Cities area.

    Sue lives in Highland Park with her two daughters, Hope, who will graduate this year from The St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, and Emily, a freshman at St. Paul Academy.

    Sue and her family enjoy trips to Chicago, Florida, and Mexico and even made an unforgettable trip to Paris in 2008.  Sue enjoys a variety of theater and music events in the Twin Cities.  During the summer (when she’s not selling real estate!) you might find Sue in her garden or out walking her dog.

    Along with a strong volunteer spirit, Jeannette comes to Dave Oswald Homes with over 23 years of experience in the new home construction field.  With knowledge of real estate sales and practices, as well as construction processes and accounting, she represents a well-rounded field of support for the team.

    Giving of oneself in service is the definition of a volunteer and serving others is displayed in many of Jeannette’s activities.  In May of 2000 she became involved in Toastmasters, an organization focusing on communication, leadership, and public speaking.  Her passion for life-improving skills led her to become their Lieutenant Governor of Marketing in 2004, selling the Toastmaster club concept to local corporations as a way to enrich their employees’ job performance and job satisfaction.  In 2005, as the Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training, she earned the Excellence in Education Award from Toastmasters International.  By 2006 Jeannette had been elected as District Governor for District 6 Toastmasters, encompassing Minnesota and Northwestern Ontario with over 5,000 members.

    Because of her zeal and passion for service, she became the Board Chair and Housing Director for Life ReBuilders…an organization that provides sober housing to men coming out of drug and alcohol treatment programs. 

    Putting Faith and Family at the top of her priorities, Jeannette serves her church community as Communion Leader and member of the Worship Development Team.  Her 2 sons are married and have blessed her with 5 grandchildren who bring her unending joy.
